Thermocouples measure the temperature differential between the hot sensing junction and the cold reference junction. An error of 1C in CJC temperature measurement results in an exact 1C error in reported process temperature.
1. Internal vs External CJC Modes
The DB Thermet Series features a precision RTD embedded within its copper terminal block to track cold junction variations within +/-0.1C.
